So.. Why Should You Enter The 2018 CrossFit Open?

Here at CFCBR, for the 5 consecutive weeks we run "Friday Night Lights" where you complete the workout that is released that week.

Here's why you should enter the 2018 CrossFit Open!

1. Connect with the wider CrossFit Community (It's global!)

We know we have an amazing community here at CFCBR. The Open gives you the opportunity to connect with the global CrossFit Community. Instead of kicking butt in the 6am session on a Tuesday, during the Open you will be working out with the world. There will be thousands of people throwing down at the same time as you! Plus you get to see how you rank against them.

2. You might surprise yourself!

Taking the leap out of your comfort zone is always easier said than done, I mean how long did it take you to "try" CrossFit? Signing up to the 2018 CrossFit Open, will give you 5 new workouts to test yourself against. What better push is there than training alongside your CrossFit pals? Plus you might surprise yourself! Every year around the world people accomplish their fist pull-up, double-under and muscle-ups, there is no better feeling than finally getting that rep and having your whole community behind you!

3. See first hand how amazingly fit and strong the top athletes actually are!

It is always eye opening to compare your score against the likes of Tia and Kara, you get a peak first hand of how amazingly fit they are! When else will you get the opportunity to essential compete against the world's fittest?

3. Try tough movements

Do you have a movement you just struggle with? It might be double-unders, muscle-ups or handstand push-ups. Sometimes it may be easier to always scale those movement, they are just too hard today... Sound familiar? Well, the Open can change that! You might get that push you need to try that tiny bit harder.

4. It is suitable for everyone!

Since 2015, there has been a scaled version of every Open workout that is released. This means that even if you have just started CrossFit this month, you are ready to compete in the Open! It is always cool to look back at your previous years rank and know you're going to smash it this year! Plus there are teenage and masters divisions, so age isn't a factor either, 14 years - 60+ there is a division for you!

5. Because it is fun, and a great way to connect with your community!
